We chose the tasting menu, and every course was beautifully curated and flawlessly executed. It began with abalone—delicately tender and packed with umami flavor—followed by a perfectly cooked red snapper that was both light and deeply satisfying. The housemade gnocchi was a standout, pillowy and rich, served in a savory sauce that left us wanting more. The main course, a perfectly seared steak, was everything you’d hope for—juicy, well-seasoned, and paired with seasonal accompaniments that elevated the dish. We ended on a bright, refreshing note with a lemon-forward dessert that was the ideal palate cleanser—tart, light, and subtly sweet. Each course was thoughtfully plated and paced, with service that was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. The wine pairings complemented the meal beautifully, showcasing the best of Napa with finesse.     Very disappointing experience. Yountville has a reputation as a culinary destination so expectations are high for restaurants in this community. North Block did not live up to these by any measure. We had very poor service - empty water glass, requests with no follow through, no check-in during our meal, etc. This could be overlooked if the food had been spectacular but it wasn't. Sometimes chefs try to put too many different ideas into a dish and it simply doesn't work. This was true for my food as well as my husband's. We won't be giving it a second chance.

    Exemplary service. Our server Reid was very good. Jessica the Manager dropped by to say hello Maya the front staff was very accommodating since called in we were late Aubrey helped Reid take care of us The yellow tail crudo had the right acidity and used of pickled apple was amazing Pasta with black peppercorns simply delish
