Since welcoming its first guests in 1773, The Red Lion Inn has earned a reputation for outstanding food and genuine country hospitality. Those traditions are continued today by Executive Chef Jon Sterrett, whose kitchen features contemporary cuisine that is rooted in the region's history and harvests. Guests choose from the elegant Main Dining Room and the cozy Widow Bingham's Tavern. The wine list offers 500 plus selections, and has received the Wine Spectator best of Award of Excellence for ten consecutive years; Sommelier Tim Eustis helps pair wines with meals. Limited Easter menu. I was hoping for their amazing prime rib roast. Ordered steak. Would have preferred a green vegetable instead of French fries. Service was ok. Waitress forgot to give us bread or ask if we wanted it. Waitress was ok but not attentive. I enjoy this place so was glad to be there, but the experience was not really worth $$$$$

Nice selection of dishes for Easter brunch or lunch. Lobster omelet, crab cakes, steak, rack of lamb, quiche, ham dinner, etc. Warm scones and rolls offered first. All reasonably priced. We had carrot cake for dessert. Yum! Met Staci, the general manager, and our server was Nate. Both very personable and attentive . The Easter Bunny was there, giving out candy! A perfect Easter experience!

We were a table of nine with three elderly folk. One in a wheel chair and one with a walker. Our waiter Adam was super patient, polite, and respectful. Our family is scattered and don’t see each other often. So .. we were constantly talking. We found Adam to be very kind and respectful. It’s not easy to wait on a family like ours. The elders can’t hear well, take time to choose their meals, and of course- changes their minds Adam was gracious and professional. We love the atmosphere and charm of The Red Lion Inn. We go there frequently for special occasions. Very nice experience Red Lion Inn!

Celebration of 2 birthdays; best friends and we try to go somewhere we’ve never been before. Red Lion Inn is gorgeous inside. Nashly M was our server; cute and very nice. Lobster rolls were delicious and we shared the chocolate mousse.

The RLI is an always reliable restaurant for dining. The food is beautifully prepared and delicious; we highly recommend the Lobster Roll. The service is always, in our experience, excellent. The atmosphere is so relaxing that we tend to tend to order apps and dessert & coffee just to be able to stay longer.

The Red Lion Inn is a time capsule to a better dining experience. The decor is truly perfect and I hope whenever maintenance is done in this space that they maintain the styling. There is ZERO reason to modernize or anything like that. It's the old world charm that we love. The live piano music just was the icing on the cake. The service was also perfectly balanced. The waitress was attentive but not hovering. We never wanted to for anything. The drinks came out quickly and the food was amazing. I wish more restaurants preserved what makes the Red Lion in so special.
