   We came for a goodbye drink and dinner, really by luck, as the location suited us. The chef was new and I do hope they've kept him, as my tagliatelle was delicious. Everybody cleared their plates and the drinks on tap were a great selection. The staff were attentive and friendly and I'd definitely go back again.

   We had a party of 9 for my Dad's 84th birthday. Disappointed that a few things were missing from the menu. Service very polite though quite slow- not many staff. Good choice of drinks. Quite expensive though fairly good portions. Not a huge choice for non-meat eaters, especially as some choices weren't available.

   Food was good would make a few changes Some training on table service required Coffee need revisiting as it was very weak

   A range of ‘pub’ meals of a good standard was available. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The beer we tried was unfortunately old and lifeless.

   Not a great experience, we’d booked for Sunday lunch only to be told on arrival they were not doing Sunday roasts!!, we should have been advised of this prior to our arrival, there were quite a few other dishes that were not available, the food was not of a high standard & certainly not great value for money, we understand they may be experiencing staffing issues, but this should be addressed before they admit customers!, the waiting staff however were very polite & friendly, a real shame, it’s a lovely village pub & could do very well…..

   Hadn’t been to the Red Lion for some time. While quite busy for a Wednesday lunchtime service was excellent. Food cooked to perfection and superb quality. Real ales in perfect condition. Highly recommended restaurant. Definitely returning.

   We met up with friends here. Only two other tables taken in side. Basic pub food on menu. When I had looked at the website there was a more extensive range of foods. Two had the fish and chips and another the scampi. Could have been presented better and chips too crispy for one guest. I had the hot chicken and bacon salad. I had expected chicken breast sliced but this came in baton shapes and was a little chewy. The bacon was 3 over cooked rashers just laying on top of the salad. Presentation could have been lots better. Not good food at all. Desserts were ok 2 had the chocolate brownie and another the sticky toffee pudding. The room was clean and quiet no music playing in the background. A nice village pub but no atmosphere and sadly the food was a big disappointment. We will not be returning.

   Food was ok. We arrived before our booking time to get an order in quickly as our toddler was pretty hungry. Our food arrived after a table of 10 ordered after us, needless to say our toddler was getting pretty restless. We sat in the garden as the weather was nice but a neighbour was playing music from their radio in the garden which wasn’t great against the music that was playing the restaurant garden, a bit hectic. The service was nice at first but when we raised that the value didn’t match up to the price of the Ceaser Salad which was essentially a lot of lettuce leaves, a few shavings of Parmesan and some croutons, we were met with anger and frustration. Not really the Sunday family lunch out we were hoping for. We won’t be going back.

    We was seated immediately, by a courteuos barman/waiter. The food came promptly, and was of a very good standard. The cask ale (Tribute) was well kept. One of the best pub meals I've had in a long time.
