This 'old horse' is well past its prime. The meat is flavorless, and overall the quality of food is MEH ( at best). If you have expectations for some great time.... you may be want to go elsewhere. Skip this place. After reading other reviews ... decided to dine at this long-established place. Things were off with an uninventive wait staff on l slow night which was the beginning but after realizing that their chef/cook does not understand what Medium/Medium Well etc. means which only compounded this very disappointing experience. Could not finish and leave fast enough; shall not ever go back with so many other choices, especially for special occasions, that are far better. Nothing special here.

Our 62 Wedding Anniversary in a pandemic gave us private dining at The Red Horse! Terrific food, quiet environment, excellent service and wonderful music you could actually hear! Do wish they had a rule that children must stay seated. As we were being seated a table with 2 kids left them run around the dining room and allowed them to remove their shoes! We were about to ask to be reseated when we saw they were preparing to leave. This is unacceptable in a restaurant if Red Horse caliber

It was our 43 anniversary. we were here for our 41 also. 42 was a zero with the lockout of the pandemic. Don and the staff (Sierra) were terrific with service and remembering our past experiences at the Red Horse Inn. We are coming back on Friday to savor the Prime Rib feast!! all the best for those who come also. Jim & Betty S.

Only 1 side with main dish and no salad. Otherwise, great food, service and ambience. Prices alright.

our reservation was kept on time. our Server "Sierra" was prompt to our table to see to our needs. Sierra is an Excellent Waitress ! Our appetizers were brought out quickly, we had the Escargot, and the Tuna Bites, VERY GOOD, NO REGRETS. we had their Evening Special, which was the RIBEYE STEAK. EXCELLENT AS WELL. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK AND TRY ANOTHER "CUT" OF MEAT. had the Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream; YUM YUM MARK

Great meal Rib eye was one of the best I've had in Frederick. Not too pricy - makes you wonder why people go to the chain steakhouse down the street for about the same money
