   Wonderful birthday dinner with a friend. Chef and wait staff are personable and food was excellent. We will be back!

   This was a great experience we had the chefs special! It was amazing the chef came out to greet the guest. There is a bar/ cocktail area with live music or classic restaurant style it’s a 2 in 1. The waiter was amazing and the food was delicious it came in a timely manner. I will be back!!

   Second time at the Red Door, my friend recommended me this place. The food was delicious, especially the free-range chicken — you need to try it, it has a special sauce. And overall if you’re craving good Italian food - definitely recommend this place. Good for a dinner with friends or a date night. 🍝🍷

   Service was good but the food was very disappointing. It is over priced and the food is mediocre at best. I had the risotto and it was so salty I couldn’t eat it. My husband had the chicken parm and said it was just ok. We split the harvest vegetable salad. No drinks and our bill was $114!! We wouldn’t go back.

   I have eaten at the Red Door several times. It is quietly one of the underrated restaurants in San Diego. All of the dishes we have had have been good. Some of the dishes I recommend are the Beets and Burrata, the lobster ravioli, the Chateaubriand and the daily risotto. Service is always attentive and the owner/chef Luciano will generally come out and greet each guest at some point. The ambiance is quiet. It is a great place to have a dinner where you can hear each other talk. I highly recommend trying Red Door.

    Food was fine...I have had better seared scallops. My husband had seafood fettuccini, they do give you a LOT of seafood, but all in shells so be prepared to get a little messy getting the clams and mussels out of the shells. Fettuccini could have been more flavorful. The "pizza" appetizer was good...sausage was delicious but did not taste the pesto. We went for our anniversary (noted on reservation) and there was not one word when we checked in for our reservation. Had chocolate lava cake for dessert...outside was relatively dry, was expecting a more chocolatey rich dessert.
