   The pub has recently changed ownership and I believe executive chef also. On the last two occasions we have been, we have been disappointed with the food as it has been cold and on one occasion the wrong food arrived. The size on the smaller plates had decreased..

   I was worried after Neil pulled out but their terrific menu remains. Ambience the same and regular friendly staff still there. Will remain our regular.

   Speedy, efficient and very friendly service. Food piping hot. Roast potatoes were gorgeous. And lovely to have proper gravy made with the meat juices and not out of a packet! The roast beef was a little tough but tasty. If sliced thinner, this wouldn’t have been such an issue. Great portion sizes. We’ll be back.

   On arrival the place was pack (great stuff) but the bar staff seemed extremely overwhelmed with the amount of people to serve. A pint, 2 gins and lemonade a lime took probably 5minutes to serve/pay for (from being served - we had to wait longer in the queue but that’s ok). In the restaurant there were things in and outside of your control. We were sat next to a very loud party of 6. The loudness not really in your control. The table was also next to the outdoor seating and people were continually ’squeezing’ past. We asked to be moved which the young-ish lad obliged perfectly (he had a support on his wrist and tbh saved a star on our service rating because he was brill!) but he did say they’d moved some else for the same reason. After us, more people were sat in that table. Maybe a learn that if you can, don’t put people on the same table that 2 other parties have already moved from. We also only received 3 of 4 starters. We had to chase this up. But then by the check-back, the three plates had been finished so we decided to cancel the 4th. We served a free round of drinks which we appreciated. Food was great, really good tasty - exactly what we’ve come to love about the food. Just a shame about the missing meal. I hope this can be taken in the way it’s intended, maybe teething issues with new staff. We will be back, the food and the waiter I mentioned were great (please tell him) but just a couple of things that let it down

   We arrived at 1900 for our table. There were only 2 servers on. We ordered drinks and had to wait 15 minutes to order food. Another table who arrived after us had their order taken first. The server came back to check our order. The food was good . I understand there will be teething problems with new systems etc but in order to keep loyal customers it needs to improve.

   We all had off the lunch menu and we all chose a bloomer sandwich - it was delicious. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff were excellent. Will definitely be going back.
