   We were in the area for the British Grand Prix. Our accommodation did not provide food so I looked around and liked the look and reviews of The Plough Inn at Marsh Gibbon. After a long day all four of us were in need of refreshment. There is a separate dining area which suited us well after our long day. With a good choice of menu and this being our main pit stop we needed refuelling. We were not disappointed having all chosen comfort food. The chef cooks ham and gammon with coke and the result is delicious. We were well served and looked after, the beer was good too. I would have no hesitation in going back nor in recommending this fine hostelry.

   Ben has created a lovely menu and is always keen for feedback which he takes generously. Great service, and you just know that everyone is giving their best. We had a wonderful meal and then stayed on for some awesome live music. A super evening throughout. Many thanks.

   Very attentive service by the young guys who run the pub and tasty good value food. However the decor leaves something to be desired and the dining area was very cold - we were told nothing could be done about it; despite there being a (cold) radiator and an unlit fireplace.

   We booked a table for Sunday lunch thinking it would be busy. It wasn't. If you want a quiet meal, this is the place for you. If you want ambience, try somewhere else. The food was ok, nothing special, but we were only offered an option of one, so just as well we were happy to have roast beef! There were more than one dessert, but again, nothing special. The one member of staff we saw tried really hard to be friendly and helpful but everything else rather let our experience down.

   Arrived early and immediately felt comfortable - was pleased to see football showing and great atmosphere. Pool table was available for us to use until table ready for us. Fantastic choice of fresh local food. Two of us chose the rib eye steaks which were delicious and cooked to perfection.
