   There was a large group in which meant that the food served to us was very slow and of poor quality. We had the mushroom pie which was overcooked and topped with congealed gravy and instead of chips was served with bought roast potatoes. Disappointing

   Long wait for food.when starters arrived they were not as described on the menu. Another long wait for mains. Arrived burnt. Spoke to the manger twice and he handled the situation well but for what used to be a real treat with amazing food. Has really changed for the Worse

   Unfortunately our first issues was we couldn’t order what we wanted as a frier had gone down, I the chose Steak and Ale pie which could have been bought from any supermarket for a couple of pound and the chips were under cooked and cold. My friend ordered a steak sandwich which stated it had Mayo spread which she would have been happy with but it wasn’t Mayo it was mustard which she hates. To be fare to the young lady serving us she welcomed the constructive criticism and apologised went off spoke to the Chef and also head office and returned to give us a full refund. I understand they are under new management and appear to be having some hic ups, we have been going for a couple of years now on a monthly catch up and never had a bad meal before.

   Friendly staff. Apologised for delay as busy which was fine. Very willing to cook a single sausage for my dog. It was loud / pubby - but we were in the bar. I'd booked a dog friendly table - they had initially assigned restaurant where dogs not allowed Menu cheap and cheerful - but few vegetarian options. No side orders additional veg available. Much of it is fried ie probably deep fried. My onion rings were halfway to burnt e had been in fryer too long and oddly tasted of Indian spices. Chios were average. Tomato well cooked, no mushrooms. Steak was great, chicken tikka masala was apparently good.

   Food was fine, but waited an hour for food. Not acceptable given it was not busy and no explanation of the delay.

   We have been to the Plough on other occasions and enjoyed a great meal. Sadly this meal was not as good.

   The pub is run by young adults. Service slow. Food ok but could have been better, chips over cooked, mushy veg. Sat with drinks after meal and as we left an hour after finishing our food our plates and empty glasses were yet to be cleared. The pub was not busy so no excuse. No back ground music just customer chatter. I will not be returning which is a shame as we used to visit regularly.

   Nice meal again handy being near the Lancaster University to take our daughter out for a meal A bit busy in the bar area as a football match was on but everyone was friendly and staff polite and helpful Enjoyed our meal once again and the atmosphere 😊

    enjoyed the bar/resturant nice sunday lunch which was reasonably priced. Landlord/manager very friendly young staff being mentored. We will visit again which coming to lancaster uni
