Join us at the Plot restaurant for an unforgettable culinary experience as we present our next Plantscape, an imaginative dinner series that showcases the intersection of plant-based cuisine and a zero-waste philosophy. This dinner, themed "Spring Izakaya,” will celebrate the vibrant flavors of spring through live fire cooking, grilling, steaming, and simmering techniques. These methods will highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients while also incorporating preservation, fermentation, and other sustainable practices that are deeply rooted in Japanese tradition. Diners can expect an exciting fusion of Japanese technique and exploratory plant-based cooking, balancing local ingredients with components such as natto and yamaimo. The result will be dishes that are not only delicious but also novel and exciting. Tickets for the "Spring Izakaya" tasting menu are limited. Join us for this culinary journey on April 29th in Oceanside and May 1st in Costa Mesa. Seatings span from 4pm until 8:30pm. Vegan wine and sake pairings will be available to enhance your dining experience.

We tried many dishes, they were all delicious. Our waiter, Brandon was amazing. He offered great suggestions and was very interested in our dining experience. The ambiance was nice, played music at just the right level to enjoy it, but still have a conversation. It was a wonderful experience.

First visit to The Plot and I’ll definitely be back! Tip of the cap to my loving family, who gamely agreed to try this new spot for my birthday (I’m vegetarian and I got to choose, so everyone ate plant-based tonight!) Some of the favorite dishes at the table: the two starters - Brussels sprouts and Chronic Roll, Burger a la Plot, Shepherd’s Pie, Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich, the Goddess salad and the Biscuits and Gravy. The three of us who ordered the sake-based special Cosmo drink were VERY pleased. Foods were served hot and had wonderful flavor combinations. Outstanding teamwork for serving and clearing for our party of 8. Thank you!

We love The Plot and even drive from a distance because the food is healthy, clean, plant-based, and delicious! Family favorites are the biscuits and gravy, polenta and chorizo, chronic sushi, and the Korean bowl. But our absolute favorites are the truffle fries and the kombu cauliflower for starters! Delicious!!
