   Ordered the pulled pork fries. You could tell the pulled pork was cooked yesterday and microwaved for my order. The pulled pork was soooo greasy I couldn’t eat it.

   Took over 30 minutes to get our dinners. They were not busy at all, and we ordered straight from the menu, no special requests. Could hear servers in the kitchen yelling about salads. The burnt ends were not burnt ends at all. They were long strips of meat, super fatty Was our first visit, and won't be going back.

   The food was amazing. The carrot cake was the best I’ve ever had. Pit barbecue is top Chef food.

   The service was not the best and we were sat in front of a vent where the air was blowing so much that our food was cold before we could even completed it. Was not an enjoyable for a Mother’s Day lunch. Food was not as good as the restaurant use to be.

   My husband and I, along with another couple, chose to dine here prior to a show over at the Auditorium. If I’m being completely honest, it was probably the worst plate of food for $40 that we’ve had in a long time! The pulled pork, ribs, and bbq chicken were just “ok” and the brisket was terrible! I know brisket has fat, but I have eaten my fair share of brisket, and there was barely any meat, just fat. The only reason I gave 2 stars for the food was because of the hush puppies. I probably would’ve left hungry had it not been for those!

   Absolutely delicious. I had the brisket and my finicky daughter had the bbq shrimp. She ate everything! I could not finish but wanted to. Great atmosphere and design. Great vibes. Our server was a bit inattentive but had the best smile and demeanor was excellent. Will be back!

   We were driving through North Carolina on our way to Ohio and I googled barbecue. I came upon a Southern Living article that featured the most outstanding barbecue in North Carolina. The Pit was the number one choice and as it was on our way off the freeway we decided to try it. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Fried green tomatoes were off the chart awesome! Being a past resident of Texas, it compared to the best we’ve ever tasted! The catfish was delicious and barbecue sauces were amazing. We were able to purchase the sauces. Fried okra and cabbage greens were fabulous, too. We were not able to sample the barbecue beef or pork because it was a Friday in Lent. They had plenty of options. So glad we stopped. Well definitely return to try their brisket and pulled pork another time as we’re traveling through North Carolina. Thanks to the awesome staff, customer, service, and food. They will certainly be on our list. our server, Christina was very attentive and made our experience amazing. Oh, and if you are from the north, you can’t get good sweet tea and their tea was fantastic. Christina even packed us one for the road!

   it was a little pricing but, I still enjoyed the environment and customer service. I will go again it was very adult oriented no children.

    I loved the food. The biscuits were to die for. Service was relatively slow but food came out quick! Would definitely go back!
