   Disappointing visit. Booked for a Friday night dinner after viewing menu on line. However, realised upon arrival that there was a private event downstairs which was very loud and imposing. Service was slow and the menu looked very different to the one we viewed on line so many dishes not even an option. We were informed the owners have changed a number of times which didn't instill much faith. Subsequently left and went elsewhere instead.

   Awful experience. Avoid in all cases! Firstly the menu was NOT as advertised. The menu presented to us in the restaurant was a much simpler menu (more expensive than advertised) with much less choice. We had booked a table for 5 people which was not ready when we had arrived (or they had given it to another family) so we had to sit downstairs in the "club" ish area - uncomfortable low chairs, especially since we were with two elderly people. Staff were standing around with their arms folded, extremely unhelpful. We had to ask about 4 times for napkins, after which they told us they had run out - what kind of restaurant runs out of napkins? When the food arrived, it was cold. A mango juice was ordered at the beginning of the meal and wasn't given to us until the end of the meal- by then it was too late (and clearly diluted with water) The curries have the same sauce, frozen veg was used rather than fresh (even though we were reassured that they were fresh) The wine we ordered (which was ordered from the current menu provided by the restaurant) was it even the correct one that they served. Frankly I think that we had been robbed of our money paying for food and service which was unsatisfactory to say the least, a complete disappointment.

   Great place to meet with great ambience and friendly staff. Food was absolutely spot on and ticked the fine dining box - would definitely go back.

   Pink Turban is a great restaurant, excellent decor and the food was exceptional. However, the restaurant seems a little out of place for Rayners Lane (which is mainly cheap informal eating places) - we went on a Thursday evening and were the only couple eating although there was a private party downstairs.

   I booked this for my birthday dinner with friends, I was impressed by the decor. The downfall for me was that the doorman kept leaving the door open and as the night was busy, lots of people were coming in and leaving which made the restaurant unbearably cold. The food was good however the service was not great, when asking for recommendations on wines/rose, the response was I don't know I don't drink wine! The second waiter brought my surprise birthday cake out without lighting the candles and did it behind me once he saw my friends' disappointed faces! We were charged for items that weren't on our bill and by this time we could not wait to leave. The food was good but would not recommend the restaurant-poor service

   Fantastic place, makes you feel like you are in a a 5* venue, lovely decor and the food was very tasty & well presented.

   Excellent food, as always. sloppy service this time; probably a trainee. all went well until ordered the masala chai. It took half an hour and they would not even comp that. Starter portions remain small, but main course portions have improved.

   The food at Pink Turban is exceptional with each dish pushing the tastebuds and exceptional service from the staff. It has one of the best Dahl Makhani's in the world, outdoing the famed Bhukhara in Delhi. The only problem you will fac is not being able to try all the menu in one visit, Pink Turban is so good you will be back again and again.

    Second visit. Still love the food but portions remain small and for the area, expensive. £12.50 for 3 prawns in Rayners Lane! Larger portions and lower prices please.
