   A few days before our arrival,I tried to modify our reservation.Online I was advised that the Pier House no longer had a relationship with Open Table.When we arrived at the Ramada,I asked the concierge desk to call over to the restaurant to see if we had a reservation.We did not so the man at the desk made it for me.I don't think I will use Open Table again.

   The restaurant had a great view of Seneca Lake. Service was outstanding. Food , we were there for breakfast, was excellent. It was perfect start to our trip to Watkins Glen.

   While the venue is lovely and the food was fine, the tiny gnats that plagued us made our experience less than pleasant. They were all over our food and us. When we mentioned this to our waitress (hoping for a fan or taken indoors), all she said was "be happy they're not bees." We saw others constantly waving their napkins around as well. It should have been better handled. Also, we booked a table on line which indicated that there were only two seating's left -- one at 2pm and one at 5pm. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and the entire indoor dining room was empty with lots of table available outdoors. When we mentioned this to the host, he shrugged and said the on-line service doesn't work well with reservations!!

   Nice Restuaruant! We vacation on Cayuga Lake and wanted to try a new restaurant. Outdoor dining was lovely, steaks are generous, and so is the salmon. I had the scallops, which was very tasty. Steaks served on planks of wood, which is interesting. Worth the visit if you are in the FingerLakes. It is connected to the Ramada Inn, which I was surprised to know. It is not in the bio of the restaurant that I read on Open table.

   We had a great Sunday brunch at The Pier House at the Geneva Ramada. They have a beautiful buffet with made to order omelettes, scrambled eggs, homefried potatoes, french toast, sausage and bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, cereal, juices, and excellent coffee. The staff is very friendly and the view of the lake is beautiful. Highly recommended.

   Food and lakeside view dining was excellent. Service timing was not the best. Also midway through our meal, a family with children was seated near us and the children were noisy, running around and disruptive. Parents seemed oblivious. I would expect the Manager to intervene, but nothing was done.

   We had a gorgeous weather night to sit by the water, enjoy a delicious meal and just relax with a few drinks. It was a fun day getaway with a friend before a concert. The steak was cooked perfectly. Portions are small, but was exactly enough and tasted so good.

   Melanie our server was fabulous . Her recommendation on wines for the evening were spot on. Her service with a smile was very pleasing.
