   Just OK. Beautiful restaurant but service hit and miss and prices extortionate. £7 for a plate of lettuce is just unacceptable when stated on the menu as a side salad.

   They try hard but they just don't get service. My wife is lactose intolerant so asked for her main with the sauce on the side. Guess what, it came with the sauce all over the plate. We pointed this out and no apology and no offer to replate it without the sauce. She ended up eating what she could off her side-plate. Nb they didn't ask us about allergies when we ordered which I thought they are supposed to nowadays. And £48 for roast beef with no Yorkshire pudding and excluding potatoes/vegetables is outrageous.

   I live locally and come to Thyme several times a year because it’s the best in the area. When we want to celebrate something special it’s at Thyme. It’s expensive and sets the bar high so last night was a considerable disappointment. The asparagus in a herb sauce was tender but lacked flavour. Fortunately the bread & butter I’d ordered when the plate arrived offset this. The risotto I’d ordered as a main might have worked as part of a multi-course taster menu but was inadequate by itself. The salad was simply leaves overwhelmed by a vinaigrette. Dessert was unmemorable but OK. Thyme only offers wine by the glass and recommends one special white and a red. I had the white which I was advised would complement the risotto. It didn’t, I hated it and didn’t finish the 125ml glass. To be fair the Martini was excellent and the service achieved that difficult balance of being attentive but not intrusive. And my wife liked the beef and felt the red wine complemented it.

   Amazing local organic food cooked to the highest quality. The Somalia was perfect and recommended a lovely bottle of wine for us based on what we had ordered. The atmosphere and ambience was incredible and I would definitely be visiting.

   Staff could be a little bit more attentive when it comes to refilling beverages or asking in between dishes whether there is anything else that is needed. We had to ask quite often for this or that.also noticed this at the other tables. Other than that fabulous food and atmosphere. We will come back for sure :)

   As ever the experience at the Ox Barn was excellent. Really tasty and beautifully cooked food - exceptional value for money and an environment that is comfortable and relaxing. Never had a bad meal or experience there - recommend it without any reservations.

   Outstanding in every way! The venue is gorgeous! Keith the manager a knowledgeable and engaging guy. One of the best cosmos I’ve ever had. The meal was our best in the Cotswolds and we are foodies from SF. Michelin star plus!

    Very disappointed with the main course Sauce was served cold and the meat was supposed to be roast pork when Infact it was so chewy I was unable To swallow it when I attempted to cut with a steak knife i couldn’t even cut the sinew off. Very underwhelming Service was excellent
