   I booked via your app on Sunday morning to then arrive and for them to not even have my booking on their system. I showed my confirmation to staff and didn’t even get an apology!

   The place and food themselves are good and we will be returning. However don’t book via open table. The staff weren’t even aware of what it was and our booking had changed from 8 people at 6:30 showing on the app to 4 people at 19:45 on their counter booking system. Despite thus they were very good and worked hard to accommodate us with lovely service. In future I’ll book by phone directly.

   A lovely place for Sunday lunch Nothing negative to say Food was fabulous and plenty of it. Staff incredibly helpful

   Lovely food. I like the Vintage inn chain. You know what you are getting but it doesn't feel like a big chain . We enjoyed a camembert to share and ham hock. The coconut milk sorbet was lovely and huge to . We ate there before a concert at the cricket ground . Much tastier and good value.

   All fine with food, service etc, however when we got there they didn't have our opentable booking on the system. Managed to fit us in but as we were a large group (with 2 young children) we were lucky they could!

   Wow these guys were run off their feet. Saturday night. We were a table of 7 and there was a group of about 20 who were there for a works do with buffet. The bar was heaving, the poor staff worked incredibly hard (there were only 4 of them that we could see in total to run the bar and serve food) and the food was good. We were disappointed that none of the sharing platters were available and a large number of starters, mains and desserts had run out...for a 7pm table on a Saturday night this seemed to be poor planning with the ordering. For a two course meal we were in the restaurant for 2.5 hours! Served with a smile though and we did leave a monetary tip as they tried hard to make our night out as good as they possibly could.

   We ate at 18:00 and the food was fine melba mess desert presentation looked like a mess, needed to be in a sundae dish not and not served on a dinner plate but generally ok. Found that as the evening went on lots of items on the menu seemed to have run out as other people ordered around us tables were told we been busy. no lamb shank, no squid, no sticky chicken wings , so no sharing platter, the list seemed to go on as more people arrived.yet nothing was mentioned when we ordered and it wasnt busy.

   We were going to a concert at The Spitfire ground and this place was close. Booked a table as thought it might be busy. It was but as most folk ate outside plenty of tables available.

    On arriving at the restaurant I was told I didn't have a reservation. I showed the booking confirmation to be told 'oh there's a problem with online bookings'. No effort was made to accommodate us and no apology given. I won't be using open table or the old gate inn again
