The Mill opened in 2015 on the buzzing strip of Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg, FL to rave reviews and received the highest awards possible that year for culinary achievements, including the prestigious honor of the Golden Spoon Award for Best New Restaurant in all of Florida. Led by award-winning chef, Chef Ted Dorsey, The Mill’s reputation as a place to share creative cuisine in a relaxed environment has continued to strengthen and garner national recognition for their inventive menus, which rotate based on the bounty of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Described as “Rustic Americana” cuisine with Southern and local inspired flavor, The Mill’s menu is a craftsman's approach to cooking with everything made from scratch. This was our second time at The Mill. The first was exceptional in terms of service and food. The food this time was also wonderful, especially the watermelon bruschetta and mussels. If we had not previously experienced such great service, we would not have thought twice about this time. However, The Mill seems to be a place that prides itself on its creative dishes, and I felt this server didn’t capture that. We ordered a cheeseboard and two apps and planned to nibble on those for awhile before our meals. Ours meals came while we were about halfway through our first course. The server who brought our main course expressed it frustration that our main server had rushed everything.

I simply love this restaurant! A combo of Rustic Industrial decor, Fantastic food EVERY time we go there and the staff is always attentive without hovering. One would expect to pay more for all this but the pricing is in line with all you get. Oh, and the Margarita's are so YUMMY! Thanks on this particular occasion for making date night so very enjoyable! We will be back!

The food was mediocre at best. Duck was rubbery and tasteless. Meatloaf Wellington was good, but not great. Never put in order for appetizer so long wait. They were kind enough to give us a round of drinks. But took nearly 4 hours for dinner.

Had a wonderful evening. The food is a bit different but, unbelievably good. Great night , great service, great food.

I've eaten here many times but the last two times the food has not been good at all. The service is excellent so I guess that's something.

The chef is clearly trying to do too much and using too many ingredients in each dish. Drinks were average.

Although the atmosphere was nice the food was not worth the cost. The octopus was amazing and well worth it but the ribeye and the pork shank pot pie were just ok.
