We ate at the Mill Room on Valentine's Day. Despite having a set menu with a few options our meal took over 2 hours to complete. The appetizers and main dish were all served cold. Wait staff seemed overwhelmed and there seemed to be no coordination with the kitchen. Several times we saw food brought out to the dining room by runners only to sit or be returned to the kitchen because they couldn't identify the correct table. The taste of the food was fine (other than the heat. no one likes eating cold steak).

Enjoyed the fixed option menu for Valentines Day. 4 course meal, including dessert. All courses were phenomenal and robust in size. Service was outstanding. Would highly recommend.

Renovations have ruined the atmosphere and all the ambiance of the lovely country inn it used to be. Dinner was delicious although there was a big chip in the dinner plate, not what you want a an expensive restaurant.

Excellent food and service. First time back since the remodel. Bright areas. Food had original taste, service was outstanding, best I've experienced in Charlottesville in quite a while. Recommend this restaurant.

Not entirely sure what I think of the new décor -- takes something away from the old southern charm. Was also disappointed that they did not have the lunch buffet.

Attended the Sunday brunch at the Mill Room. Limited selection - roasted sweet potatoes only veg on lunch buffet, no bagels or toast... Overall an underwhelming experience. Had high hopes for rejuvenated Mill Room - left disappointed.

Handsome facility. Great ambiance. My reservation was at 11:30, my complaint was food in chaffing dishes was cold. Potatoes, eggs Benedict, sausage links and blueberry blintz - all COLD. On the omelette bar, server did ok job, but omelette was overcooked and BROWN. A cook should know omelettes best pale. However, I have already made a reservation there for next weekend. I think with attention to detail by management, food quality will match the level of this handsome facility.

Probably the best meal we’ve had in months! We split the cauliflower appetizer, both had the duck entree, and split the pear for dessert. Several drinks along the way, and it was one of our best dining experiences in a long time!
