   Though the food was delicious and the service was fantastic, the open concept of the restaurant in the middle of the hotel lobby created a horrible ambience. We had the misfortune of eating at the Mill House on a Friday night when there was a youth Hockey tournament in town. For us it was a date night, as it apparently was for the parents of ALL of the completely unattended children running around the lobby and through the eating area. Yes, a group of children played tag right past our table. The noise made it difficult to have a nice conversation. The wait staff was very attentive and checked on us with great regularity, apologizing that the kitchen was backed up and food was taking a bit more time than normal. Once the food arrived, it was delicious! We shared an appetizer and each had a wonderful entree. If I were to try to eat at the Mill House again, I would have to call first to make sure that there is not some sort of event going on that would fill the lobby with so much activity. Enclosing the restaurant would make all the difference in the world.

   Venue is open air hotel lobby/bar, so don’t be surprised if there’s lots of activity. It was a Sunday evening, so not to busy, but wedding in next room kept noise level up. Previous day was some sort of reunion at bar area, so couldn’t hear yourself think. Food started out very nice, with roasted cauliflower and buffalo wings for appetizers. Mains, however, were disappointing. Blackened salmon was actually poached with a sauce added, and roasted chicken was finished in fryer which overcooked it and left it dried out. Add in the premium price for hotel dining, and I would give this place a pass.

   This is by far the best brunch I've been to in a long time! The food was delicious, service was excellent and I loved that the room was not overly crowded. There was live music which was pleasant. The staff gave out candy and toys to the children. Most importantly, the food was refreshed and replaced frequently so you did not eat food that had been sitting out for long periods of time. If something ran low. it was replaced. Thank you for providing a positive experience for me and my family!
