   Metro is hands down our favorite restaurant in OKC, so that is why we were there for a birthday dinner. It did not disappoint. As always, terrific food, great wine list, outstanding service and just the perfect atmosphere. It doesn’t get better than this place for any occasion or no occasion at all. Comfortable elegance with friendly staff. That’s why it’s been around for decades!

    We have enjoyed dining at The Metro since they first opened almost 40 years ago and last night was as wonderful as always. The wine list is extensive but not overwhelming with several price points. Last night we chose reliable favorites from the menu - French onion soup and vichyssoise as a first course. I always order the vichyssoise when we dine here. I know of no other restaurants that have it on their full time menu. For entrees we had cedar plank salmon and the chicken vermouth. I usually have crème brûlée for desert but last night tried the featured dessert of an apple tart with cinnamon ice cream and while it was quite good, I think I prefer the crème brûlée. The service is fabulous and the little attention to details, such as the cream for your after dinner coffee served warm, set this restaurant apart. It’s a fine dining experience at a more modest price than some of the newer spots in town.
