   This place is called The Meatball Shop, so you’d expect the meatballs to be at least good. Well, the meatballs are HORRIBLE. The salads were great. The bruschetta was great. The meatballs and the pasta were HORRIBLE. The pasta was undercooked. Not al dente. Straight undercooked with a hardish center. Inedible. And the service? AWFUL. We sat around and needed to ask for EVERYTHING - water, sodas, napkins, silverware, if we could order, EVERYTHING. It made it very uncomfortable because I felt like we were bothering our server. This isn’t a buffet. We depend on our servers for food and drinks. They failed to make themselves available to use the ENTIRE lunch, until the bill came. Then we got a smile and a statement that she hopes our lunch was good. Ummmm, you didn’t say a word to us the entire lunch. Not one. We felt like we were harassing you for basic restaurant needs. Forget any “extras”. And to top it off, the main entrees were HORRIBLE. Never coming back. EVER.

   Absolutely delicious. Hard to find better meatballs at even the fanciest, shmanciest restaurants in NYC. All the sauces, all the sides, and all the drinks make this a real neighborhood gem. My fiancee and I have come many times and love it again and again. Very affordable, and all the servers are super friendly.

   Tiffany was great! She walked us through the menu and recommended some of her favorite dishes! We started off with the calamari and it was AMAZING. Everything was delicious and we were definitely full afterwards. Thanks for filling us with your balls!

   Delicious, stick to your ribs, comfort food. Very friendly and professional staff. I'm a light eater and the portion was large enough that I was able to take some home for a second meal.

   I've literally never had such a crazy panic inducing dining experience as an adult. I suspect they were short staffed, because the entire staff was running around terrified and frantic. Like would've been comedy had it not been so scary. Our server literally ran off while we were in the middle of ordering, then returned angry and offended that we were bewildered by her bizarre and sudden exit. Another server literally ran into me 5 times while I tried to find a place to stand waiting to speak to the host. I'm a big Meatball Shop fan, but jeez, that Chelsea location was literally the most bonkers service experience of my life. I woke up still stressed out for all of them. I hope they're okay. But seriously... I'll take the late/slow meatballs any day over meatballs with a side of terror.
