   Food was good drink very expensive Booked my tablein Nariner Restraurant for 4pm only to be told on arrival that restauant closes betwwen 4 & 5 had to have my mesl jn bar area not where I had booked the girl working was very helpfull and sorted us out with a table there not like the guy at the restsurant desk

   Our startrers came out very quickly, but had to wait way too long for our main courses...we asked 2 different members of staff if they could look into the delay. The staff were lovely, as was the food, just the wait was too long.

   The Mariner basically provides half decent food in an ok restaurant setting. The problem for us on this occasion was that we arrived on time at 5.45, ordered and then received our starters at around 6.00 which was fine. It then took 55 minutes to serve our main courses and we watched as diners who’d arrived much later than us were served theirs. We mentioned this to our waiter who seemed to think that he’d, in turn, mention it to the hostess. Now give her her due, she then pushed things along. But, the waiter is the person who is responsible for ensuring that diners get good service and, in this case, he failed miserably and, quite frankly, didn’t seem too bothered about it. All-in-all, given that experience, I couldn’t recommend the Mariner.

   Although the food was nice. Portions were small and not worth £20. I dont like wine so had a cola instead. Everything was lovely apart from price. My burger and chips could've had some side salad coleslaw or onion rings at that price Rather than just some chips and a burger.

   Service and food excellent but would have preferred to know in advance that only set menu available as my friend is vegetarian

   The food was tasty however a few of the meals were luke warm and the bruschetta was stone cold which didn’t make for a pleasant eat. Had all the food been warm it would have been a perfect meal. The waitress did apologise and gave us a free drinks voucher to compensate .

   Booked the restaurant as my friend has dietary issues and menu on site had a few option she could eat. On arrival was told it was a buffet brunch which was not suitable. Had to go to bar to have a menu choice which was simple bar meals. Ordered hunter chicken burger and a plain burger arrived. Wrote to hotel on returning home with issues and 2 days later still no reply. Would not recommend
