   We were very disappointed with our last dining experience lunching at the Maraboon Tavern on Easter Saturday. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our meals as a group of four. When our meals came, two of them were cold. The staff continued to keep us updated - after we enquired on the status of our meals - and appeared to be run off their feet. We’ve visited many times for lunch when it has been busier and meals have been delivered in a more timely manner. We’re assuming our extreme waiting time was due to staff shortages. Despite this, all staff were polite and helpful working diligently under pressure.

   We got in there at 6pm for dinner and we were out by 6:30. They food come out quick. And the service was amazing

   The tavern has a good menu and is very cleans and staff are well trained. The gentleman showing people to tables was very welcoming, made sure we wanted for nothing and making sure we enjoyed our night. Very Very Glad we went there. Will be back again.

   Told to get my own glasses at the end of the bar. Refused to do 6 lemonades, stated we needed jug instead! Not what we asked for. If i wanted to get my own glasses, and pour my kids drinks all evening, i may as well eat at home! Disgusting, absolutely revolting chicken snitzel served. Poor service. Wouldnt recommend at all! Ask 3 times to speak to the manager, and i still dont believe we did. We wont be back!

   Waited 5 minutes for someone to even come to the front to show us to our table. They had put the wrong amount of people on for a table to begin with. Then when the food came out my daughter’s fish and chips were disgusting. Her chips were soggy and her fish was really gamey. Then when I got my steak, chips and salad my steak was well under medium rare and no one would take me seriously when I asked to take it back to be cooked more. My salad also tasted and smelt off REALLY BADLY

   Nice ambiance but don’t expect an entree before a meal, as our cold king prawns came with the hot main meal!
