   Bit pricey for Sunday roast for 2 thin slices of beef, but good flavour would have liked bit more for £19.95. Unusual flavour in the red cabbage, my son thought it was thai flavour, not sure if I liked it, guess it was some sort of chinese 5 spice? Green beans and cabbage were very nice and crunchy. Came out super quick. Lovely yorkie and gravy.

   Food was excellent again. The ambience is lovely with lots of space and different corners for different moods. The new staff are taking time to get up to speed - as they are in many pubs and restaurants. They were kind, open, pleasant but just a little bit inexperienced. They will pick this up quickly, so we’ll revisit and check their progress!

   Amazing food as always and Gary is always so friendly. Really love the pods as it’s quiet and good atmosphere

   This is within walking distance for us but there is ample parking if needed. Good choice of food including fresh fish, an unusual mezze platter for one or too share. Good choice of beer and wine, friendly service and a rather quirky ambience. Lots of outdoor space with good covering for tables in case of rain. We will certainly visit again

   We felt that the pub aesthetically was generally ok, perhaps a bit tired. I ordered the mussels which smelled and tasted off so I sent them back. The owner came out and asked me if I had had covid because that can affect the taste of food. I said that I hadn't had covid, the mussels just smelled weird and I didn't want to get sick but he wouldn't have it. He insisted that they were fresh and would not believe me, and preceded to charge me for them, which I refused to do as I had only eaten one. My partner ordered roast pork, which he said was very disappointing as the restaurant was out of Apple sauce and he had to ask for his crackling. If he had known that wasn't going to get any Apple sauce he wouldn't have ordered roast pork. The owner, we felt, was a bit too over friendly and wouldn't leave us alone when we were just trying to enjoy our lunch. It felt like he was constantly hovering and listening to our conversations, which was strange. It was a shame because the other staff all seemed lovely and there were some nice animals like birds, chickens and goats, which my daughter enjoyed. But we won't be returning. It was very mediocre.

   What awful things to say. I'm extremely offended that you thought I was eavesdropping on your table. I can assure you that I was not. You were sat in front of a 3m x 2m showing tennis , that is why people were "hovering" in that area. We did have fresh apple sauce made that morning. Your mussels were not off, however I instructed the waiter to take them off your bill and offered to get you something else. (you declined). We obviously aren't your cup of tea. No need to make it personal.

   Their courtyard is a delightful spot for al fresco dining. The food wasn't quite as good as last time and the real ale was average.

   We had a very enjoyable Fathers Day meal at the Maltsters Arms - the atmosphere was friendly and the staff very helpful. The food was good value we thought - we'll look forward to going again when the weather is better!

    Very interesting menu with choices for vegetarians. Chilly day so happy to have a pod with a heater. Very welcoming ambiance.. Good for families - children have a menu and goats/ hens to see in the garden.
