Located on the ground floor of The Westin New York Grand Central, THE LCL: Bar & Kitchen offers creative cocktails and a seasonal menu in a contemporary setting inspired by nature. Designed by STEPHANIEGOTO, the 2,600 sq. ft. space features an alluring curtain wall composed of vertical natural walnut planks, a palette of soft colored reflective glass and an illuminated “forest wall” which transitions from day to night. The LCL features an expansive collection of small-batch spirits, regionally brewed craft beers, global wine offerings and a rotating selection of classic and modern cocktails that highlight market fresh ingredients and cold pressed juices. The kicked up comfort food menu is available from sunrise to well after sunset, and features favorites such as Deviled Organic Eggs, LCL LaFrieda Burger and Kale Salad. THE LCL also serves Starbucks Coffee, Liquiteria juices and fresh grab-and-go options in the morning for guests on the move.

Always a solid choice for a lunch where you don’t have to shout to talk. Octavia is a gem!

The food was excellent. Portion sizes were very large. The grilled cheese was amazing - buttery sourdough bread, delicious cheese, tomatoes and bacon. I’ll be craving this grilled cheese for some time to come!

Great for dinner. Breakfast is awesome too during the week but weekends is pretty crowded so get there early. Very casual environment. Sat at the high top tables for dinner. Fun to people watch on the street too.

Noisy bar that shouldn't have affected the dining area, but music was playing too loud. We (a party of six) were off to ourselves and restaurant not crowded, but service wasn't great. Hard to get water refills. Food was OK (my Cobb Salad was actually very good). Iced tea for $6 seemed unreasonably pricey, and even more so, given that the people who ordered it were not offered refills.

We had a wonderful meal. Asked the waiter whether we should opt for the pasta or grilled cheese and she eagerly said grilled cheese. It was the perfect choice as was the brownie ala mode. My only concern was the relative lack of attention after our plates were served. We could not get a staff member's attention for refills or condiments.
