   Need to work on the vegetarian options as there was very little choice and poorly executed, otherwise i'd have given it full marks.

   Was a hen party on so bit noisy but ok Lovely food nice waitress nice catch up with my friend !

   Friendly but informal waiting service, good choice on menu, really enjoyed halloumi salad. Dessert disappointing - sticky toffee pudding very dry. Quite quiet mid week, made atmosphere a little lacklustre but not the fault of the staff.

   Met up for a catch up with friends. Starters were excellent for all 4 of us. Mains were disappointing for 2 of us. The braised lamb was a little fatty and roast potatoes were not the best. We'll blame the supplier on that one. The beef and pork roasrd were both excellent. Desserts were delicious. Management handled our disappointment very well and we will be back.

   We felt that the food was not worth the money. It is a very expensive average night out in our opinion.

   This is the second time we have visited and was very impressed with not only the presentation of the food but the quality in the eating which matched to a high level. I had Grouse which to be fair you don't find very often especially in Bedfordshire and was very impressed with the creativity and how the entire bird was used within the dish. Good selection of ales and the staff were extremely welcoming and very accommodating

   We had a nice time. Dined early evening at the end of a very hot bank holiday Monday, so not many others around and the staff were enjoying themselves in the background, playing their own music and chatting to their mates/locals coming in and out of the garden. The relaxed atmosphere and service (which can be a good thing) does not equate to the hiked up prices being charged for 'posh' pub grub. Gin list is good but the Botanist we chose should have been served with thyme/mint and lemon (as indicated in the menu), and not juniper berries; wine list was good and ok value. Had one dessert taken off bill which is when Birthday was acknowledged, which was a kind gesture.

    Went for breakfast - a gppd varity of menu choices (more savoury than sweet). Weather was nice and there was good outdoor seating. Food presentation was spot on.
