   Last minute decision to go for a Sunday Roast and it was great! Big improvement on last time, accommodated us brilliantly and were very patient whilst waiting for others to arrive.

   We had roasts and they were brilliant! Really lovely staff and reasonably priced.

   We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner. The food was lovely. The service was excellent. Couldn't have asked for more.

   excellent roast pork and crackling and sticky toffee pudding good service fire on and cosy not as cold as has been before .. nice sunday experience

   Had a beautiful meal, took a little while for our order to come. The service as exceptional and lovely atmosphere, will definitely be dining there again.

   I visited here on Friday evening (8th December) when booking i wasn’t made aware it was quiz night. This would have been ok but we were all in the same room and we had a small table in between all the players. When we walked in we had 3 big dogs walk towards us, one barking, the owner apologised for her dog being naughty but not being a dog person i believe if dogs are allowed in pubs maybe they should be asked to be kept on a lead? When we arrived there were 2 young girls on the bar who were having their own conversation about how their patience levels with people were very thin that night - not most professional, so we stood while they finished their chat before being seated. When we were seated we were brought menus over to be told there were no pizzas, burgers, pies or specials available that night - quite a large selection of the menu. That left one option that i liked - fish & chips. Which was lovely, just not what i was expecting to have. The atmosphere was lively with the quiz which was nice, we just felt a bit uncomfortable as we were the only table not doing it & felt awkward chatting while they were listening to questions. They were all then served burgers - potentially the reason there were none on the menu to?! We had our meal & sat for a long while before our plates were cleared& were not offered any other drinks or a dessert menu, so after i while we decided to leave & go to the bar to pay. We asked to pay half each and the young girl told us the total and we paid & left. When i arrived home i realised i had been over charged £30, so i called the pub & the girl apologised and asked me to go back to get a refund, which wasn't ideal as id just got home. I called my friend on the way back to make sure she had been charged correctly & she too had been over charged £30! I told the girls when i arrived and they didn't seem surprised and when i said she didn't live locally they said they could refund her over the phone. Over all a disappointing visit!!

   A really solid Sunday roast. A few things not available on the menu but it was later on in the afternoon. Nice pub too, enjoyed.

    Booked a table for 7.45pm to arrive and find they'd no pizzas, no special, no mash for sausage dish, no duck🫤. I accept they'd been busy but we left as there was really nothing left on the menu. Ran out of mozzarella? Unfortunately it does reflects their ability to be a restaurant and provide a professional service - or in our case not!
