   Went to The Keg to celebrate a birthday. I booked my reservation starting it was a birthday and told the person who seated us that it was a birthday. This was all done based on everyone asking if this was a special occasion. We were a part of two and I was disappointed that, although they knew it was a small grouping and a special occasion, they seated us surrounded by a few large gatherings. I would have thought the restaurant would have placed us in a more intimate area. In addition, no birthday dessert was brought to us, although I witnessed others receiving one. The food was good but I did feel a little rushed. We weren’t even half way through the appetizer before the main course was delivered. And I was disappointed in the red sangria, it was more red wine than anything else . Overall, we had a good meal, just a few disappointing issues.

   Went several years ago and had a nice time. This visit was a mess with craziness in the hotel with guests and visitors. They made us (anyone with a reservation) sit in a hotel bar until table was ready and no reservations went to another holding area. We get called up and asked if we had reservations?? Then we get a tiny table in a corner with no view and so loud we couldn’t talk to each other. Food was just ok but it’s the view of the falls we went for. What’s the sense paying the extra money for mediocre food and no view. Never again, hopefully this keg will go over the falls soon.

   The restaurant was too busy, I requested a window table, that didn’t happen, it was also my son’s birthday and it was hardly mentioned.

   Eva was excellent. Very friendly and efficient. She knew we had a concert to get to so she was on top of our food orders which came out very quickly. Great experience and love the view of the Falls!

   We always look forward to starting off with warm bread and two kinds of whipped butter that’s so addictive! Had a lovely dinner and enjoyed our filet mignon steaks with lemon broccolini, twice baked potato, garlic mash, veggies, and bacon wrapped scallops. We finished off with the sticky toffee pudding which was nice. Not too sweet and just the right amount to share.

   The Keg delivers consistently great meals and this location is an absolute must for the views!! This was an anniversary trip with our Matron of Honour and we did not get offered the usual Billy Miner pie for dining on occasions. Maybe because Niagara Falls is the honeymoon capital and it’s everyone’s anniversary??

    When making a reservation and adding any requests be sure to say it again and show the hostess. We had made a request for window seating in the reservation 7 pm on a Saturday. When we arrived we were told our table wasn’t ready and to wait in a lounge for our text. When we received the text we headed up to the restaurant to be told we can sit way at the back now or wait another 45 mins for the window seat. Funny story in walking to the far back side we passed several open window seats so I returned to the hostess stand and was shown a window table as reserved.
