   The food was great, the service was good, the ambiance was lacking. The restaurant feels more like a coffee house than a restaurant for a nice meal. It’s hard to imagine returning to dine in a place that feels so stark and uncomfortable. Please change the lighting and consider installing booths or something that affords a little more intimacy. The “reserved” tables are too close together. I felt like I was eating at Chipotle- not a good thing when I’m spending $120 for dinner for two.

   My experience at The Joint was terrific; it would have been perfect had Open Table/Big Brother not ERRONEOUSLY followed up with an extremely condescending email inaccurately accusing me of not showing up! I was enjoying my day, digesting my delicious The Joint meal, until I had to deal with Open Table. I did not appreciate the accusation OR the long, patronizing email explaining to me why it is wrong to not alert a restaurant when you cancel. I always call or email if that happens, which has been rarely. So it was frustrating and annoying to be told I was a no show when I did show. I will be using the old-fashioned telephone for reservations from now on.

   Excellent fish restaurant. Quirky sparse decor, lacking atmosphere but reflects the owners unique style. Quality of the fish alone makes it worth a visit. Highly recommended.

   We dined at The Joint two days in a row because the food is fresh, delicious and each plate is prepared as a piece of delicate art. The backless seats are hardwood and the polished cement floor don't make for a soothing experience but they are easily overlooked because of the superior food and coffee choices.

   Food was exceptional! My only complaint is that for the quality & price of the food I believe this “joint” would fare better as a full service restaurant with more comfortable seating & a warmer ambience. I would be likely to go back for the food (especially the scallops) or for a delicious matcha latte (the best I’ve ever had).

    Delicious seafood! We've been there already twice. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it if you want quality seafood. Try an appetizer or two, such as fresh oysters, fried calamari, and my favorite, the scallops. The service can be improved, but overall, I recommend it to seafood lovers.
