The Ivy's flagship Robertson Boulevard location near Beverly Hills and West Hollywood has been an essential Los Angeles dining destination since chef Richard Irving and designer Lynn von Kersting opened its doors in 1980. With its charming white picket-fence patio, vibrant interiors decked with fresh flowers, and its legendary status as a celebrity favorite, dining at The Ivy is both an indulgence and an event.
Signature dishes, such as Ricky’s Fried Chicken, The Best Crab Cakes, Lobster Tagliatelle, Coconut Cake with raspberry filling, and the famous Ivy Chocolate Chip Cookies, showcase classic American comfort infused with French baking, Italian, Cajun, and Mexican influences. All breads are baked in house and uses the best healthy, organic ingredients available.
A short walk from Melrose and LA’s bustling fashion district, the cozy and festive atmosphere is enhanced by personalized, attentive service on either the sunlit patio or colorful interior of this family-run institution.

This is the first time I have had a bad experience at The Ivy, that I have been going to for years the noise was unbearable. We could not even hold a conversation inside because of all of the loud tables and bad acoustics. We did not get the famous Ivy bread until we asked three times and it was after our lunch was served… Something has happened to the restaurant. It is not what it used to be.

Absolutely fabulous and so very special to meet the owner so unexpectedly. Beautiful lady, beautiful place, fantastic meal! The attention to detail in every facet had these 3 midwestern ladies enchanted. We all had the Lobster Salad-exquisite! When can I move in?!?

Longer wait for the waitress.
Not communicating there’s an extra charge of $40 for adding freshly grated cheese to pasta per plate.

Great vibe and energy. We celebrated my wife’s and son’s birthday and enjoyed the brunch. Food was amazing. Drinks were awesome! Something felt off with the service. Wait staff staff was incredible nice and helpful. We received water when we sat down and received our menus, we were on our second glass of water before they stopped by to take our drink orders. Has the potential to be elite with refocused service rhythm.
