   Lovely Brunch with family. Disappointed that 'some' staff' buttoned up their jackets which were too small for them and one staff member's grey/black jacket needed a clean! The women on Reception looked beautifully groomed. Our young waiter looked after us very well.

   May have been an off day but we waited 75 minutes for our food, despite repeated reminders and being told it was imminent. Nothing done by way of apologies and they were a little indignant when we took the service off the bill - they probably should've done that without being told.

   First time at The Ivy in Marlow and it definitely won’t be our last! The grilled chicken skewers in a yummy peanut sauce were tender and delicious! 3 skewers would be a starter, I had it as a main (5 skewers) with truffle and Parmesan chips. The 2 scoop sorbet (raspberry and lemon) for dessert was delicious - as I am gluten free my friend had the shortbread biscuit which accompanied it and she said this was lovely too! We were lucky with the weather so sitting outside was beautiful! It was quiet outside. My only criticism would be that the first table for two we were given was close to other tables so we felt a bit too close for comfort- the table and iron chair was also rickety on the uneven paving, so we asked to move to a nearby one and thus was much better. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Can’t wait to come back!

   I took my wife to The Ivy for her birthday lunch, and as always the restaurant provided a great experience. Superb food and service in such beautiful surroundings.
