   The food was great but the service was extremely slow - even though it was quite quiet, which is a shame.

   The restaurant is beautifully and elegantly decorated. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. Definitely recommended.

   Waited a long time for drinks upon arriving. Waited Waitress appeared to be in a hurry for our food order despite drinks not arriving and when they did they came separately.

   Food was lovely, the fish and chips was much larger than at other Ivys. Restaurant was nicely busy but there were empty tables so I’m not sure why we felt rushed through our meal by the waiter. It did affect occasion for us hence the 4* review as I’ve never felt like that before. All the other staff were lovely.

   Lovely premises but over recent years it has become excessive in its pricing especially their wine list. Whilst we remain generally happy with what is on offer it is somewhat restricted and lacking in value for their charges! They are now also excessive in the extreme to make such an excessive ‘service charge’! I prefer to offer cash relevant to our individual service and at my choice! We are not happy with the current excessive service charge! To be charged for individual vegetable additions due to not automatically being inclusive in the main courses is also excessive and similarly high

   Really nice entrance, welcome and ‘wow factor’. Food very tasty and good value for money. The service was very disappointing as they missed off the olives that we’d asked for. And the server brought my nieces’ deserts to the table when they were away in the washroom. In establishments such as The Ivy, I would have thought they would wait until customers returned to the table before food was served. Then to my further surprise, she proceeded to pour the hot sauce on the chocolate bombe to melt it before I had a chance to stop her. And the theatre of the dry ice around the sorbet with the other had dissipated before my niece returned. I was very disappointed that this part of my treat for them had been spoiled. I didn’t want to say anything at the time as it wasn’t appropriate to comment in front of nieces.

   Great welcome from staff and all staff at the bar and the table were excellent, courteous and attentive without being overly so. Menu choice varied and plentiful. Food served hot and very flavoursome. Great atmosphere and space. Made whole experience a perfect end to the day

    Stayed over in Cambridge for one night, The Ivy is a beautiful restaurant, food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.
