    Lovely food, staff very attentive . Didn’t like the fact had to pay for chips separately to the steak so nearly £40 for steak and chips

    On Saturday, we had an early evening meal at the Spinningfields restaurant prior to going to the theatre. The restaurant was absolutely packed and very noisy, but I suppose we should have anticipated this on a weekend afternoon. We invited two guests, one of whom was celebrating a special birthday. Neither had been to The Ivy before, but we'd recommended it highly based on our several previous visits. Service was of the usual high standard, professional but friendly. The food was overall delicious, though one of our guests ordered a steak medium rare and the one he received was nearly well done. He insisted on not making a fuss, so the staff weren't given a chance to rectify the situation, but it was nevertheless disappointing he didn't get what he asked for.. Unfortunately, the same guest was also seated in a chair with an arm rest that was tattered on the corner. We were a bit embarrassed as we always rave about the beautiful decor and ambience, which was a bit of a letdown on this occasion. The meal ended on a high due to the delicious desserts we all enjoyed. The birthday girl in our party loved her birthday box, and the rest of us loved our chocolate bombes. Overall, we had a nice time and a tasty meal. It's just a shame everything wasn't perfect for our guests.

    Another very good visit to The Ivy. Food was very good but could have been warmer! Cocktails excellent and overall a lovely experience.

    We have eaten at 2 Ivy restaurants and our food has been outstanding. They say their dessert special is the chocolate bomb but their crème brûlée is amazing.

    Warm welcome. Great overall service and a named dedicated lead server. Food as described. Food served timely and was very good. Great atmosphere. Looking forward to another visit.

    I wanted to go for breakfast for my birthday and it was amazing. Service was outstanding. The food was outstanding. My family absolutely loved it. Recommend everybody who wants to do a birthday breakfast absolutely fabulous.
