   Attentive service from all of the staff and quality food. Will revisit another time and maybe try some more cocktails on the menu.

   I booked this meal for my birthday and also being 38 weeks pregnant. When booking online for the first time I was asked if I wanted to sit inside or out and I choose inside. It must of been a busy booking period as I didn’t realise that there were also different inside options but I was only given one option therefore I assumed that would mean all inside seating. When we arrived we were told we were booked at the bar on high bar stools, being 38 weeks pregnant this is really not ideal therefore the only other option was to sit outside. We reluctantly sat outside and it was quite chilly. Our waiter came up and took our drinks orders, we had non alcoholic cocktails which were lovely. During our meal we heard our waiter getting very flustered and swearing as he went inside to get orders, lots of huffing and puffing and the f word was used. None of this was directed at us but we could tell they were not happy. Our food came up and it was tasty and that is basically the one positive about the whole experience. Service was a bit slow, we didn’t get asked if we wanted more drinks and had to push things along quite a bit ourselves. We sat next to another couple that felt the same way and ended up sitting with empty plates for far to long. Overall it’s an expensive meal for poor service and I really don’t feel like anyone cared much about if we were happy or not. We won’t go back and we will stick to the normal Ivy next time where we have never had bad service and it is always a fond experience.

   Lunch menu had enough options and food was amazing . Cocktails were very good and pudding arrived on dry ice, spectacular!

   Wontons & Poppadoms and Prawn Tempura were very nice from the set menu. However the Wok fried Pork belly was a disappointment with hardly any pork. We also had the Wok fried Lobster & Duck fried rice at £29.95. There was lots of rice but hardly any lobster which was a bit over cooked. The venue is so nice as is the staff and service. But value for money as far as the food is concerned is lacking. The £52 bottle of wine was nice!

    Service was fantastic to start and then fell off a cliff when they swapped over shifts which is a shame. 3rd time of going, it’s a great atmosphere and sense of occasion but needs consistency. Also not enough loos in the ladies so my wife was queueing which you don’t expect in a restaurant.
