   Great authentic Caribbean food. Loved the oxtail and the beef patties. Place turns into a club in the late evening by the way and may get loud.

   The waitress was nice, the drinks were on point but the food to me was not authentic. I am Jamaican and it was salty and it wasn’t something I enjoyed. I should just go for the drinks

   Food and drinks were delicious. Service was fast, and efficient. Waitress was great with recommendations and menu knowledge

   I enjoy my two visits and plan to revisit every other Thursday. I love Poetry nights. Fun, silly hosts, clean environment, and great vibes.

   The parking is tight in the area however the overall experience was great being in the Oak Cliff area.

   I prefer this location of The Island Spot because there was live reggae music on Friday night. I had the jerk chicken nachos which were delicious. The drinks there are strong also. . . I suggest the Painkiller. The friends that I was with enjoyed the curry chicken and cabbage but said the rice & peas were dry. The waiter was very responsive and took it back and gave my friend another side of cabbage. Overall, it was a good dinner date to the Island Spot. I enjoyed the atmosphere and definitely will return.

   Servers were very kind and the food and drinks were amazing. They even stayed late after closing to accommodate our party. Thank you guys for proving there are still restaurants with world class service.
