   After not having been to the Huntington Tea Room in many years, I was very disappointed in what it is like now. To begin with, there is no longer a tea sandwich buffet, which means you only have the option of two very overpriced towers of small sandwiches and pastries, plus additional overpriced extras. There also used to be a much, much better selection of quality, delicious teas. Now the teas and blends offered are just ok. But what really made our experience terrible is what an ordeal it is to even get there and be seated. We arrived at the Huntington early for our reservation. Unfortunately, their parking lot was completely full. When I asked the guard at the gate where would be good to look for parking, he just sort of shrugged and said "street parking". There were MANY cars parked on the street at every single one of the gates to the Huntington for some pretty significant distances. So even being early, there was no way we'd be able to walk from that far and arrive in time. When we finally made it inside, we were told we'd need to purchase entrance tickets to the park to get to our reservation. So this tea is far more expensive than it appears when booking. And from the Admissions kiosk it is still a significant walk to get to the tea room, which there are no shuttles for because it is down several footpaths. When we finally arrived at the tea room, we were 17 minutes late. They have a 15 minute grace period. Despite me confirming we were on our way, they gave our table away after 14 (not 15!) minutes. They told us they'd do their best to accommodate us anyway and changed our reservation to be 45 min later. We weren't seated until 57 min later, despite them being strict about us being on time. This tea is stressful, expensive, and very not worth it.

   Wait time with a reservation was a bit too long. Server was very friendly and efficient. Food was good but not exceptional. Tea was delicious.

   Edgar and Jo are awesome and made this experience really lovely. The food, the tea, the roses. It’s a little slice of heaven.

   It was a good experience, a little overpriced But we didn’t have two birthdays and they didn’t bring a cake

   We LOVED it. My party visited to celebrate a birthday and surprise proposal, and the hosts and servers were so accommodating and participated in the surprise with complimentary treats for each occasion! Ambiance was beautiful, and I don’t think it could’ve been any better.

   Every time I visit the rose garden tea room I wish it was like the the old tea house located in Sierra Madre that has closed. And every time I am rushed out as fast as possible. My visit lasted 42 minutes for 140$. doesn’t seem quite right.

   Nice experience in a beautiful setting. Isaac was a great, attentive and witty server. FYI: "house bubbles" is prosecco, not champagne.

    They still haven’t removed the lamb sandwich, & I will not eat baby animals! The ham & cheese should be in a deli menu & not a HIGH TEA one! I won’t eat a pig either!! They need more vegetable options. Our waiter was not up to par today. It was a birthday lunch & he failed to bring the birthday treat until I reminded him! He did not offer to take our photo, as they always do, ESPECIALLY on a birthday! He was very uninterested in us, which was very unusual than normal. Not a great waiter!!
