   Lovely table but always find them a bit small for 4 persons We had the roast turkey but the roast potatoes were soft not up to the usual standard. No condiments on table like salt and pepper we had to ask for that. Service was ok but once they serve you thats it nobody comes to ask if we need anything else we tried to get the waiters attebtiom as needed more cranberry sauce but gave up. Find delicious overall and staff lovely overall.

   Amazing food - beautifully presented, delicious and perfect size portions. Thoroughly recommend you visit The House. Fine dining at its best. I can definately see why it has been awarded its AA rosettes.

   Lovely building and ambiance, great food and very good service. Will return to experience the menu on a day other than a Sunday, but I fully expect it to be excellent. The best restaurant for miles around.

   We went for our anniversary on a Saturday night at 6.30pm. Staff were welcoming. I had a gin fizz to start which was very tasty. I had lobster starter which was creamy, zingy and delicate in flavour. My husband had the scotch egg which is always excellent. Herby and tasty. Mains were pork belly and fillet. Pork belly was perfectly cooked. Tender flesh and crunchy crackling. Great apple flavour. Fillet, flavour a bit lacking but was cooked well so that's more a reflection on the cut of beef than the production. Vegan brownie (were not vegan obvs) and cheese board were both excellent. Especially given its British cheeses only. Expresso martinis to finish. Everything is always perfectly served and delicious. Staff have right level of attentiveness. Not harassing you but you never have to look for someone. Perfect timing between courses. We have been quite a few times and it never disappoints. Was a pricey meal but worth every penny.

   Delicious food in a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will be booking again very soon.

   Once again this gem of a restaurant delivers despite our high expectations. Friendly welcome and choice of tables offered. Once in place at our table, the waitress brought over the drinks we ordered last visit - a nice touch and saves the faff of picking through the wine menu. We ordered different starters and both happily cleared our plates as it was delicious. Then a couple of steaks ordered, one medium and the other well done. Again both very tasty. I followed this up with a nice British cheese selection , whilst my wife enjoyed her drink. Then as we paid our bill at the main bar, we had a pleasant chat with the Head Chef talking about how the menus change according to both weather and seasonal produce. Overall a lovely evening out and we will definitely be back sooner, than later.

   We booked the Thursday lunchtime deal. It was a set menu and although the choices were limited, It was very enjoyable. The food was well presented and very flavoursome. We will definitely be making a return visit.
