   I asked for an additional shrimp to top my salad. I got exactly 4 small shrimp. I just felt that if your going to have a protein available for an additional cost to add to a dish that it should be at least 3-4 ounces.

   Our service was excellent. Timely and not overbearing. Very professional. The food was great, but there’s room for improvement, especially given the prices. Lemony pasta needed more lemon, but my salmon was cooked perfectly to order. The fried okra was a great treat.

   Ordered the blackened chicken salad only to receive blah unseasoned grilled chicken. Manager offered us dessert but if I could eat dessert why would I be ordering a chicken salad? 😅

   I’ve only eaten at the Grove about a hundred times. Usually we go to the Bee Cave location. They are all great and this new one has this spectacular patio in the trees. It’s always been good but this night my food was a bit cold and it happens. I usually get the Bolognese so I know what to expect.

   We had Andre for our waitperson and he was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable concerning the wine list and dinner menu. Also, the service staff was awesome!

    I had noted in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and it was not acknowledged by any staff. Service was good and food was good, but kinda fell short with regards to the lack of birthday acknowledgement.
