Welcome to the Golden Lion Osmotherley An 18th Century stone inn overlooking the market cross of Osmotherley, Gateway to the Moors. A village as unspoilt as any in the North York Moors National Park. A really lovely place to have lunch. Staff were just adorable - quietly attentive and extremely pleasant. The only reason I haven’t awarded 5 stars was due to there only being one vegetarian option on the Sunday lunch menu. It was a heavily mushroom-based curry and I’m not a fan. Would have loved the usual Sunday dinner but with a nut roast or similar. But otherwise superb. Desserts were to die for!!!

We have visited this Pub on many occasions previously when the food has been excellent.WE felt it was mediocre at best- the duck cassoulet tasted as if it was on a bed of baked beans. It was interesting that we noted how unusually quiet it was

Lovely Sunday lunch, sat utside to enjoy the sunshine. Although pub was very busy service was excellent. staff very attentive.
