   This is a lovely pub, with friendly service and excellent food in the middle of a lovely village. We've been here many times and never had a disappointing meal. The staff are great, and the place has a warm and traditional ambience without being old fashioned.

   Nice restaurant in a local pub environment. Good selection of choice. Thought the starters were slightly overpriced and quantity was disappointing. The main course was better value for money and of reasonable quality however the meal could have been served at a better temp. There seemed to be a delay in the meal being rung as ready and the serving team getting the meal from the kitchen to the table. Desserts were very good. Overall our bill came to £110 for a table of three. Nice location, good choice of menu but perhaps we thought the quality could have been better achieved on this occasion. We would return.

   Loved our meal! Great value for money. Staff friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere warm and inviting. Sunday well spent!

   Overall an enjoyable dining experience. There were however a few points which have afforded a deduction from the award of five stars. A side salad was requested without onion, but came with it; a steak was requested 'blue' but was served medium rare and a dessert was requested with custard but came served with ice cream.

   It’s been a while since we ate here. We were very impress with the new decor. Service was great from the moment we walked in. They didn’t rush us to our table so we were able to relax in the bar for a drink. The young lady that was our server was polite, not pushy but apologise for the delay. We didn’t feel there was one. They were busy in the restaurant with a huge group so that’s most probably why she felt she should apologise. She knew what was available so when we order three of the same starters she knew straight away there was only two left, normally in our experience you order the food and the waitress would come back to say not available. She made sure through out our stay that we were ok and kept us topped up with drinks. Food was fantastic and good value for money. Told my husband we should make the effort and come here more often.

   Food lovely, as only people in restaurant area very awkward and quiet. Confusion over which menu we could order from.

   Menu has been updated since my last visit but the food is as good as ever - lovely friendly pub great food - I will be back

   The food was nice and the staff were friendly. I think our expectations were quite high because of reviews and that they had to take card details on booking but we had to wait over a hour between courses and it wasn't very busy. The waitress did apologise but only once they brought mains out and just avoided eye contact in between. We still had a nice time and would return.
