   Long wait after ordering starters, only to be told “they had been cancelled”. To be fair the apologies were profuse. And the food was pretty average, tbh.

   This was a very distressing experience. We arrived on time at the restaurant and were greeted by an extremely rude waiter. He seated us in a cramped corner, making it difficult to move around, especially with our two dogs. Despite the restaurant being only half full, I politely requested if we could be seated elsewhere as my elderly father was uncomfortable, but the waiter refused. After waiting for 20 minutes, I requested a menu and was told to wait. Similarly, when I asked for water, the waiter dismissively responded, "you have to wait." He was deliberately ignoring us, which was very unusual as I've always received excellent service from this restaurant in the past. Normally, the waiters are kind and helpful, which made this experience even more unacceptable. Consequently, we decided to leave and went to Sophie's steakhouse instead, where we were treated fairly and with respect. The staff were accommodating, especially with our dogs, and offered us menus and drinks within a few minutes. There was no reason for the previous waiter to treat us in such a rude manner, particularly when the restaurant was only half full. I feel that this issue needs to be addressed immediately and would like to speak with the manager to ensure that this kind of behaviour does not happen again.

   There was no staff to seat or to serve the guests. The place was a complete joke. Everyone was arriving and then leaving after 5 minutes.

   Restaurant says they stopped taking bookings from OpenTable so have no records of our booking. Kind waiter managed to find us a table but restaurant is clearly extremely under staffed that day both in the kitchen and outside. Food is undercooked and service was struggling big time but the 2 waiters did their best to stay calm and sort things out the best they can. Hopefully it’s a one off!

   Right so I never review, but I felt the need to. We went to the goat on a Sunday for lunch - which from my understanding is a nice pub. 1/ We got given the menu and half the food on it wasn't available because it's roast for Sunday (no menu for it and we ended up ordering without knowing prices..) 2/ no beer on tap, which I have never seen in a pub 3/ drinks arrived after 35 min, food after 40min...the staff was in a panic - bless our waiter who was super sweet and whose 1st day it was. 4/ broccoli undercooked, carrots burnt...the kitchen was totally overwhelmed Conclusion: the management there really took the mick, such a shame cause the place looks nice. Avoid until they get their act together
