Wine list is marginal . Food was lacking flavor and creativity . Scallops were dry and overcooked. Servers and staff were lovely and attentive

Was really looking forward to having dinner here with our friends. Came for a work dinner in last fall and food and service were amazing. Unfortunately, the food was below average at best especially with the high end prices. Sadly won’t be returning.

The atmosphere is great, the service was ok, not spectacular. Also, I ordered a surf and turf special, the steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, but the shrimp and scallops were completely over-cooked. My friend who ordered the fruitta da mare said his shrimp and lobster were also over-cooked. Otherwise, we had a great time. The meals were a little pricey for having the ocer-cooked seafood. If everything was cooked properly, I wouldn't have minded $65 for surf and turf.

The appetizer rabe and white beans was delicious! The ravioli was very flavorful as was the chicken Milanese. The cocktails and wine selection were also very good. Service was outstanding, we will definitely go to The George again!

Nice place. We were there on a Sunday evening. I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere due to the slower pace that evening. It seemed to be a popular spot for locals, which created a comfortable and lively environment. However, I'm not sure if the volume and familiarity among the patrons was a positive thing.

I never post reviews, but this was such a terrible experience that I feel it my duty to warn the public. The service was terrible - we waited half hour to get our drinks and they ran out of orange juice and tea! The coffee was burned and the juice they substituted with (grapefruit and cranberry) tasted watered down. We waited over an hour for our food and neither the server nor the manager apologized in any way during this ordeal. When the food did come out it was consistently terrible. I mean it takes talent to cook every single thing so poorly! The potatoes were soggy, the scrambled eggs tasted as if they were made from powder. My mom ordered lobster eggs Benedict - the lobster was so rubbery and impossible to chew and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was made from some mix - you could taste the particles in it. The pancakes were edible but were brought out without syrup or butter and by the time those were delivered (one at a time, mind you), the pancakes were cold. The server made a lame attempt at apologizing when she brought out the bill and the manager offered free desert but there was no way we were spending another minute at this place. A truly awful experience both in terms of food quality and service.

One of my favorite places. Great food, great service, piano bar and comedy show downstairs. Always a good time. Highly recommended.
