   This "restaurant" was in the lobby of a hotel, located down a dark street with nothing else in sight. There was one other party dining and yet the service was horrendous. I had to signal the waiter over each time I wanted something. My father was arriving into Penn Station late so I was looking for a restaurant close by. We shared a flat bread pizza (not good) and a charcuterie plate (fine). Everything seemed way overpriced and poor quality.

   The restaurant's name is Gastro BAR, which is an important point to note since it is a bar first and a gastropub second. None of the food is bad but none of it is particularly good either. We took advantage of the five tapas and a bottle of wine deal and I still feel like it was too pricey for what we got. Again, nothing was BAD, it just wasn't in any way notable or remarkable. If you're on the west side in the 30's and you need a quick bite and a drink then absolutely stop by. However, if you're not in the area, don't bother going out of your way.

   Our first night in NY came across this bar/restaurant. The food was really good, and the prices were reasonable too. It was quiet, but it was a Monday night, so no suprises there. We would recommend Gastro Bar to all groups and couples.

   Great food, priced well, and if you go on their website, they have a coupon for a free bottle of wine.

   we made a 9:30 reservation on Open Table, and showed up promptly at that time, only to be told that the kitchen closes at 9:30, and that we therefore would not be served. when asked why they accepted reservations for that time if the kitchen wasn't going to be open, the response was a shrug and a 'well, that time should not have been listed as available'. Presumably they had received notification of the reservation earlier in the day, when it was made. Why did no one contact us to tell us a 9:30 reservation could not be accomodated?

   great find near penn station can have great tapas and then get on the train-perfect for commuters good before theatre or before hoping on bus to Jets or Giants delicious cant wait to go back try the lamb

   When my friend and I arrived, we didn't realize it was a hotel bar. It's beautiful though. Decent cocktail / wine menus, decent tapas menus.

    Nice tapas, good quality food however a few more options wouldn't go astray. The restaurant was also a little on the pricey side for the size of some of the portions
