   I’m a big fan of the Garden Museum cafe in its current incarnation. It’s a little bit whimsical, the service is always charming, although occasionally not particularly attentive, but the short menu always has really well cooked, often unusual dishes. Definitely recommended.

   My third visit and I was not disappointed, even though the choice for non-dairy eaters was limited. But the chef was very willing to be creative. Service very friendly and helpful. The batter on the whiting was crisp and thin, and the venison chops huge and tender.

   The food was made with unusual ingredients, tasted delicious and was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were friendly, efficient and pleasant and made the lunch a real pleasure. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, although booking is essential.

   A fantastic lunch, lovely and unusual food combinations with attentive and charming service. A small and delicious selection of wines. This is a little off the beaten track and all the better for it! Great ambience and very scenic - I would totally recommend the Garden Cafe.

   Definitely recommend! It’s great in terms of lovey seasonal food, friendly professional service (tables cleaned in between courses), ambience- great modern architecture combined with historic building. 5 stars - I’m now a regular, especially as I live close by.

   Had an excellent three-course dinner after an evening talk. With a glass of a decent wine the bill came to just over £40 which I thought very reasonable value. The food and service were really good by a dedicated team. I will be going back again.

   I read a review in the WASHNGTON POST of this resturant and wanted to try it. Food absolutely delicious! As it's out of the way, I never would have "run into it." So I am pleased I planned ahead.

    Came for a lunch for two and was so impressed with everything that this restaurant had to offer. SImple dishes that were delicious! Also being able to have a carafe of wine rather than the whole bottle was great for lunch. Will definitely be back
