   I was there for lunch, where they had a very small menu. I had the set two course meal (17£) with avocado salad and fish and chips. The former was decent, with a properly fresh and ripe avocado, but a bland dressing. The fish and chips were not particularly good--greasy as if the oil were not hot enough. The ambience did not compensate--it was decorated much like an upscale McDonalds with formica tables and bright lights. Overall, there are better and less expensive places to go.

   The food was overcooked and dry Service was friendly Ambiance was missing. It is a stark place that feels makeshift. The old dining room was much more spacious

   Unfortunately, when we got there the menu wasn't at all what the website had suggested. Just bar snacks. Maybe we misread it online but we had to go somewhere else. Also the ambiance was fine for a quick bite but not for a long leisurely girlie lunch. We had found the restaurant in Quiet London as we hate music in restaurants and it looked promising. Real shame as I understand the food there is good. maybe another time.

   Had a wonderful meal here thanks to an Amazon local offer. Walking up to the hotel at 9pm was a little unnerving as it's not the nicest area, but the hotel is delightful, friendly concierge and nice decor. The restaurant itself could initially be mistaken for a college canteen, it's an odd setup, to say the least. But the ambience once seated is pleasing and the staff are super lovely. More importantly, the food was top notch. I thoroughly recommend the lobster burger. The chips were lovely, thick and chunky and delicious. And do not even contemplate leaving without trying the custard trifle!!

   It's a bizarre location - 5 mins away from Euston station, lots of back packers and hostels around and then this, somewhere between a Premier Inn and Travelodge. I might have thought I was still in the hotel lobby but for The waiter/manager who was both courtious and friendly. There was a bit of embarrassment as he clearly explained to me what I was allowed under my 'meal deal'. Sadly the food was very disappointing. Everything seemed like it had been bought from Iceland, including the bread. The lobster burger was dry, and only edible because of the tartar sauce that came with it. The chips were awful, and there wasn't any vegetables, or salad or anything else on the plate. The deserts were slightly better. I won't be going back.

   But am I glad we made it. Somewhat of a hidden gem and the best hotel restaurant I have ever dined in. Standard of food was excellent and presented beautifully by the kitchen. I had the lobster burger and my husband the steak. Both our meals arrived together and the service was highly attentive without being overbearing throughout our visit. A firm London favourite for us!

   The food is excellent value for money at the Foundry, and it tastes great. On the night, we started our meal at 21.15, we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant. By the time we were on the main course, around us everything was tidied up, white cloth taken off tables etc. That was a bit upsetting, as it gave the feeling of the staff wanting to go home as soon as possible. The food was excellent - in quality and presentation. We took a friend from Germany along to try different food who is used to eating high quality food in very good restaurants. He praised the food, yet the atmosphere due to the tidying up and emptiness on a Friday night did not help.

   I thought the food was very good for the price we paid. The only downside: the restaurant lacked atmosphere. This is because there were only a few other diners present; it was simply too quiet for a Friday night.

    The staff couldn't be more accommodating and the food was great but the inescapable fact was that you are eating in a makeshift second class conference centre. This sadly took the edge right off it for me. The 50% discount provided great value for money and I guess if you needed something in close proximity to Euston station you couldn't go wrong but as it was an anniversary for me and my girlfriend I certainly could have picked somewhere more romantic!
