   Our vote for Howard County’s Number One Best Overall Dining Venue — The Food Market! We reserved Easter Brunch for our family and, in an Open Table message area, we requested two special dishes from the dinner menu to honor the memory of a family member. As we were seated and ordered drinks, both special dishes appeared at the table unannounced, without asking, and with smiles! This was a very gracious and much appreciated gesture by The Food Market chef and management that brightened our family holiday brunch. Best food presented in a fun atmosphere by Lucia, our smiling and personable server…Thanks!

   Front desk could use some improvement (like greeting when you enter). When we arrive the person at the front desk never acknowledged us, walked off and later came back still no greeting, finally asked our names for our reservation and seated us. Food was terrific as always but needed drink refills and had to wait awhile before the waiter finally came back to ask if we wanted a refill.

   The restaurant sat us 30 minutes later than our reservation. They were busy, but should be able to manage reservations better than that. Food was great, service was reasonable, and atmosphere was enjoyable. The music could have been at a lower volume to allow for easier discussions, but it wasn't loud enough to lodge a complaint.

   Great food and service but the restaurant is so incredibly loud that conversation in normal tone is impossible. I would definitely get carry out from the Food Market but would not return to dine inside.

   We always enjoy being served by Boris. He's great! Unfortunately, three of our four entrees were disappointing. The short ribs were not fork tender. My daughter's steak was tough. She couldn't even get through it with the steak knife. My husband's monkfish was very small, with too much tapenade.
