   The sushi was great, but the service was not! We didn't order that much and when we asked where something was that we did not get the waiter hesitated and looked at our table like we ate it and we're making like we didn't get it. Rather insulting. I also had a virtual credit card to use and they said it would not work. When questioned the waiter said it was probably fine but they had an old credit card machine. I used it the next day with no problems! The place was empty but it took a long time to get our food. To bad the food is really good. Can't imagine what service would be like on a busy night!!!!

   Rec'd a coupon, decided to try it w a group of friends. Nowhere on the coupon did it indicate sushi and sashimi ONLY. The only thing I found on the menu was a dish w 3 shrimp, that they warmed in a microwave. Only other cooking apparatus was a toaster oven. The people with me said the sushi was good. Problem by the time we got fed, we were starting to believe that they went out to catch the fish... Took two hours start to finish. Place is rather pricey as well. My take is that there are too many other restaurants where I can spend my money, and it's won't take the whole evening. Finally, I could be less critical if the place was busy, but it wasn't.

   We decided to give The Fish a try, since we wanted sushi and the reviews were quite positive. The sushi did not disappoint. Very fresh, nicely presented, and delicious! The pricing was also reasonable, and our group of four had a delicious dinner. The location of the restaurant is great, the downtown area is nice. The ambiance is somewhat lacking though. It feels like you are sitting in a former bar that while the walls have been painted, there are a few too many TVs and entirely too many mirrored walls. The service was good and friendly, however it might help if they knew more about the dishes and also special sakes that are listed on the menu. Again, the food was really great, but there is room for improvement in terms of decor and staff training. We'd go again for the delicious sushi!

   Unpretentious yet carefully made food. Moderately priced, civil atmosphere. A good choice for a not too heavy yet satisfying meal.
