   I took my mum and dad for Mother's Day Sunday lunch. I love the food and the style of the pub, but the service let's it down 80% of the time. We had a later booking after 3pm and by the time we were into our main course the restaurant area had pretty much emptied. Our waitress was okay - she did what she needed to - but was not particularly friendly. I always expect great service from this chain of pubs (like it always used to be at The Artichoke), but it rarely is so I don't know why I was surprised. Our wine order initially went to another table nearby until I alerted the waiter. He brought it over to us and put the glasses plus unopened bottle on the table. No apology, no offer to open the bottle or pour the wine. We weren't asked during the meal if the food was okay (we all had lamb which was delicious although the roast potatoes weren't particularly tasty). We didn't have puddings and I assume our waitress went off shift after taking our coffee order as I had to go over to the bar to chase. In fairness, someone, who I think was the manager, said he wouldn't charge us for them. It was impossible to get eye contact with any waiting to staff to get the bill and then pay for it. When I was handed the bill it wasn't ours so back I went to the bar. The points I've raised are the basics to being a good waiter/waitress. It's really not rocket science. It's such a shame because otherwise this is such a lovely pub and the food is pretty good.

   I took my nan here for an early motets day lunch and it was ideal. It's a gorgeous little building, food was delicious and staff were so friendly. Would definitely recommend!

   Another enjoyable evening at the Feathers. The staff can be a little too attentive but very pleasant nonetheless.

   We were regulars here, but it went down hill service, food, ambience was a bit lacking. So we didn't bother for a while, which was a shame as I've always really liked it. We decided to return and see if things had improved and were pleasantly surprised. Food was good, the menu had improved. We noted it had benefitted from a wee makeover and the general vibe was so much better. The only thing I could fault was maybe the background music choice, which was a house type vibe... bit of a weird choice for when your having dinner, I'm all for a bit of Ibiza chill out, but this was not so chill. Aside from that... we will be back.👍🏻

   Relaxed fun evening with two of our closest mates - few bottles with me and v and t's lots laughs in our usual table in corner

   Food good but pricey. Restaurant very very noisy at this time (sat 8:30) making conversation difficult.

   We went on a Thursday which was lobster burger night. We love this place but would never come back on a Thursday again. Lobster had hardly any meat on it and no sauce at all. Simply boiled and then they charged us £20 each for it!! When we were talking to each other about how unimpressed we were, the manager overheard and he leant in and said "well we must be doing something right because you keep coming back". We haven't returned.

   Booked a dinner table here on a Fri eve for a catch up with friends. The food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the duck, but all meals were beautifully presented, well balanced and full of flavour. We had a cosy table, staff were friendly and tentative and although it got really busy, we were not made to feel rushed. Being a Fri eve, the venue was packed by around 2100, and did become a bit noisy, but the dining area was slightly separate to the bar area, so guests were still able to converse without having to struggle to be heard. Overall, a great venue, good value, great food, great staff and will be visiting more often. Thank you.

    The food I had myself was not great and I only had fish and chips I hasten to add the chips were stacked in what I can only descried as shenga stack I take it this was to make it look more than there actually was the fish batter looked burnt very dark also my daughter only had kids fish and chips and the batter on the fish was very burnt I haste to add I have been to this establishment before and the food was ok I assume it was due to our visit being on new years day and the staff might have not been on the ball I also hasten to add my wife did say her food was very nice so lets say 50/50 hey
