About this restaurant

  • Great for creative cocktails
  • Good for groups
  • Lively
The Farehouse is located in the heart of the historic Taylors Mill’s Dock No. 3. The mill began its life as the Southern Bleachery and Piedmont Print Works during the height of the Greenville area’s reign as the Textile Capital of the World. Closing as a mill in 1965, the building found a variety of partial uses until revitalization efforts began in the mid 2000s. While many mill revitalization projects have converted mills into condos and other residential projects, the Taylors Mill is proud to be the largest grassroots project of its kind in the upstate of South Carolina. Today the Taylors Mill seeks to facilitate craft and commerce for a new generation in the heart of Taylors, SC. The Taylors Mill is reclaiming creative community.

Our menu focuses on New York style pizza, pub-style appetizers, deli sandwiches, and dinner specials using fresh, locally-sourced meat and produce.

Menu is creative but more geared to pizza and sandwiches. The food is hot what it arrives which is a pleasant change

The whole experience was a bit underwhelming. We waited quite a while on apps and then our server took a while to come take our entree order so the wait between apps and entrees felt lengthy (though I’m not sure if this one was as lengthy). I ordered egg plant Parmesan and it was overwhelmingly ok. The crust was thick (good) and some was burnt (not good), the sauce tasted really bland and didn’t complement the eggplant or crust really. The potatoes and broccolini were great! Others at the table ordered turkey BLT and they reported it was good but spicy from the jalapeño aioli. We waited an extremely long time to get our cheesecake which had no accoutrements to make it pretty, but it was incredibly tasty and very big. Nothing was bad enough to get management involved or to fuss over, but for the price I did not feel the wait was acceptable nor the lack of acknowledgment of our waiting during the multiple stages of the meal by our waitress. I have heard good things about their brunch and may give that a go, but I don’t think this is the spot to go for dinner.

Our waitress Missy was so great! Her humor and quality of service made our time with friend’s tonight even better. The food was really great too!

We come here a lot and as of late the service has been atrocious. Took us over 20 mins to get water and almost 30 to get drinks and then order. Food came out decently but i had to get up and fill my own water twice.

Wife and I had the pasta primavera. I added blackened chicken. Both were excellent. Good selection of craft beer and cocktails. Service was great. The old mill ambiance was great. Good value.

Appetizers and entrées are delicious. I would skip the dessert, nothing special there. Great atmosphere.
