Those barrels which speak to the longest aging potential become the Original Vines Reserve. This estate, on the other hand, is blended from those barrels which offer the most immediate pleasure.

Fresh and clean--that's the best way to describe this new world Melon. Made in an extremely small quantity, this wine is rarely sold outside our tasting room.

Rarely grown outside of Alsace, this 'obscure' variety is crisp showcasing a typical floral muscat nose, with delicate lemon and spice notes on the finish. The Eyrie Muscat Ottonel is fermented completely dry.

2017 Chasselas Doré$27.00
Chasselas Doré is an old grape variety born in the Jura and Alps mountain ranges of Switzerland. Fresh, tropical and savory, it is light on its feet while having a surprising amount of structure and body for a wine with just 10% alcohol. Serve chilled, it will pair nicely with creamy cheeses, fresh veggies and spicy foods.
2017 Pinot Gris Dundee Hills$18.50
This vintage is highly aromatic, with dense layers of lime, pea shoots, and white strawberry, finishing with a spicy uplift. The texture is round and full. The forepalate is dominated by ripe lychee and passionfruit that hint at sweetness - although the wine is absolutely dry. Flavors of dried sea grass, kiwi, and currants fill out the rich and very long finish. Complex, precise, and substantial, this latest release form Eyrie continues to define the best of Oregon Pinot gris.

This 2016 Eyrie Vineyards Pinot gris Original Vines presents the character of the grape varietal and the vintage as vividly as possible — by working as minimally as possible. Freshness, depth, and vitality are the goal here. The elevation runs from 220' at the bottom to 330' at the top, and the exposure is directly south.
2015 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley$37.50
The overall impression of the wine is freshness and balance in spite of the warm vintage. On the nose, savory red raspberry and blueberry combine with a truffled earthiness and floral spice. On the palate, crushed strawberry, violets, and sweet cherry pay homage to the riper year while briar, and porcini notes bring complexity. Texture is defined by soft but present tannins that rise through the midpalate to create a sueded texture. The tannins are enhanced by firm acidity on the finish.

Fun to get a tour of the winery. Information provided by our host was very good and entertaining. It was good to get more history on the winery's origins and vineyards than I had previously heard in the prior tastings. As a club member I was already familiar with the wines and some of the history, but found this additional information fascinating. I'm glad that you are considering drop-in options in the future as I'm always interested in doing a tasting to remind me of what treats I have in-store with my cellared wines. And having done the full tour once, I might have time for a repeat.

Really great host providing all the history on the winery. Learned so much about Oregon wines and how the Eyrie became what it is. Plus the wine is probably the best we had in Oregon! Highly recommended!

Warm welcome by Jason Lett, the best winemaker in Oregon, fantastic journey through the Pinot Noir, Poulsar and Chardonay. Unique skill to make Oregon wine ready for aging decades... very true, I tasted and I Head the privilège to buy wines from the library : 80´s, 90’s and Earl y 00’s. Outstanding souvenir for a Wine lover coming from France. Thanks Jason. Eric and Patricia

The host was very nice and very informative. It s a large group setting though and we prefer more intimate settings. Th s was not explained when the reservation was made.

We had a great visit to Eyrie. Our host, Tim, provided a great explanation of the history of Eyrie and we tasted some fantastic wines. Definitely recommend including Eyrie in your travel plans to the Willamette Valley.

This is a relatively expensive wine tasting experience. We did enjoy several excellent wines. Our host was very knowledgeable about the winery, it’s history and it’s wines. However, since the winery doesn’t have a tasting room at the actual vineyard the experience itself lacked the feeling of a winery that we value.

The winery that started the Oregon wine industry is still a benchmark for great wines. Both their reds and whites are exceptional, and the reds in particular are world-class. Our tastemaster was extremely well educated as well as entertaining, really adding to the enjoyment. Most impressively, they poured a 1995 pinot noir that was AMAZING! If I hadn't watched him uncork the bottle, there was no way that I would have ever thought it wasn't a well-aged premier cru Burgundy! Outstanding!
