   What a great experience! Our server Nat was amazing - helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. And the food was remarkable - each course had balanced flavors and textures made all the more amazing by virtue of the chef accommodating our group vegetarian with creative and delicious off menu substitutions. Will definitely be back!!

   I had been to this restaurant during its opening and it was great and I was excited to come back. However, it did not meet the mark. I’m ok paying for the pre-fix. But the service needs to match the level of cuisine and quality the restaurant is trying to exude. Champagne was spilled, the description of the foods brought out was curt and harsh, and plates were cleared before everyone was done. In addition, the ambiance is beautiful at night, but it’s very lackluster in the daylight (7pm still has sunlight). The furniture has nicks and scratches, decor feels out and outdated, and the bar and longe was so empty. I wish they would change the menu to make it more accessible and fill up the restaurant. And also if they want the level of a pre-fixed menu, they need to up the service and ambiance to match.

   Would highly suggest dining when the restaurant first opens if at all possible, because you get the most undivided attention, and you can actually have a conversation. Once a couple of other parties arrived, the noise level was ridiculously loud to the point where we couldn't hear each other. The food was quite good, and generally unique and worthy of the somewhat steep price tag. We were especially impressed by the chefs' ability to tailor the prix fixe menu to our multiple and varied food allergies. Truly above and beyond service. Unlike other prix-fixe restaurants that tend to skimp and just take away food from those who have allergies, the Empress chefs went above and beyond to accommodate us, to the point where they provided an almost entirely vegan menu for one member of our party, and the substitutions were NOT just an afterthought. They were just as good, and in some instances, more plentiful than the conventional options.

   Absolutely outstanding all around. Food was great, presentation was top, service was phenomenal - they really made our anniversary special.

   Beautiful rooftop setting. Excellent service, including adjusting prix fixe menu for dairy allergy. But the dishes were way too salty and only one of the two drinks at our table was tasty. Mister Jiu’s is superior for high-end Chinese dining — if you can get a reservation there.

   Amazing service! We were dining with my 95-year-old grandma and 5 months old baby. It was a lot to manage but all the staff were very patient, accommodating and friendly to ensure we have a good experience. Love the food, the staff, and the view! Would absolutely come back again!

   Underwhelmed by my most recent experience which was a far departure from how wonderful the previous visits there were. i’ll be giving feedback to restaurant management and will report back on how graciously it’s received Follow up - I reached out to the restaurant and they said “email us your feedback and we’ll take a look over the situation.” Funny how they were so reachable and proactive prior to the reservation, but after a meal that cost us $700 for 4 suddenly they are unavailable “email us your feedback.” Previously we used to send friends here but would no longer recommend this place.

    I hate to say anything bad about this restaurant as I love good restaurants in Chinatown. That being said, kind of find it hard to believe that’s a one star restaurant as it did not live up to that via either service and or food. My advice to anyone would be go for the drinks and get an appetizer and enjoy the wonderful view. The service is subpar at best. There was some hits in the food and there were some real misses. Enough said.
