   Lovely food. Great service. Nice warm atmosphere, and friendly, professional people running the show. All worth that little bit extra on the price. Probably the best pub food for miles, and certainly in Leighton Buzzard

   Lovely roast dinner, all very fresh, proper Yorkshire puddings, very nice service was also very good in very pleasant setting, highly recommended

   What a great way to celebrate a good friend's birthday! Just about perfect from arrival to bill payment. The food, as always, was excellent and matched only by the service. As the restaurant was quiet, we were seated in the main bar next to a roaring fire. Marvellous! I can totally recommend the Black Pudding with Eggs Benedict, and all of us had the same opinion of the dishes we selected - i.e. 'LUSH' Probably the best gastro-pub for miles around

   The food was ok but the service was incredibly slow. Added to which we were not given a table in the restaurant but in the bar area with the associated friday night noise of a busy bar. We had a child with us too and it was very difficult to hear around the table as well as to manage her hunger levels when it took over an hour to get served a simple single course. Delay in ordering dessert and it being served was a further 45 mins. Very disappointing really. It felt like they had tried to cram extra tables in without adding extra wait staff or kitchen staff.

   A bit trying for the staff because of water problems affecting large area of LB, but they coped admirably and we had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner

   Restaurant was not very busy so we asked the music be turned down. No problem. When ordered the lamb rump was advised a 20 minute cooking time. Well worth the wait. Fabulously tender and great taste. Yorkshire puddings , roast pots and cauliflower cheese all excellent.

    Although a few minor tweaks were needed to some aspects of the meal, the restaurant and bars were lovely and the staff were excellent. We have booked a meal for a large group of us in December, and we're looking forward to it.
